JPMC named One of 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare

Mayfield, KY (October 16, 2009). Jackson Purchase Medical Center proudly announced this morning that the hospital has been named one of Modern Healthcare magazine's 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2009. To celebrate the award, employees, physicians and board members were served a special catered breakfast. Modern Healthcare will recognize the Best Places to Work in Healthcare in a special supplement to be published October 26, 2009. The award is based on specific criteria related to employee turnover rates, community involvement among other factors. The award was open to all companies healthcare related companies with over 25 employees including suppliers, nursing homes and insurance payers. To be considered for the award, employees were asked questions in 8 core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall satisfaction. A minimum of 40% of the employees had to complete the survey
